We recently had a reveal of the new Red Tornado (August 1968) that will be appearing on the Supergirl TV show, airing on CBS soon. While they are both androids they are very different. For the new or casual viewer, that may be moot. All red skinned androids are the same to the non-geek public. I know, I am as shocked as you are that there are still some hold-outs to the Geek lifestyle. I can’t stress enough about the fact that this probably won’t be the final look for the Red Tornado. Pardon the pun but it just won’t fly with the community. The Vision (October 1968) was executed perfectly on the big screen, and while the screen may be smaller our expectations, as geeks, are not. Both have a long history, and both have a legacy that predates the characters themselves, one has been honored and we’ll soon see if the other follows suit.
Who else out there can’t wait to see this old/new character to take to the airwaves?
