Freedom Fighters| The Ray on the CW Seed

So intense. The Multiverse expands on CW Seed. I cannot wait to see who else they have on the “Reichsman” team. Having Red Tornado in this dimension is an interesting choice. My only question is where is Uncle Sam, and Plastic Man? This will be a MUST Watch show.

Supergirl is now even More Super

Superman is a perfect addition to this 2nd season of Supergirl.

Tonight’s season opener was a great ride and I feel like we have much to look forward to with this show. It had some low and many high moments on CBS, but we watched on. I really am excited about another light hearted show to watch during the week,  along with the Flash.

Theoretical Spoiler: Flash’s Zoom Could Be…

Zoom. Who, on Earth-2, could Zoom be? While at work today I heard an interesting theory from one of my managers that began a very short trip to the identity of Zoom. My manager was in the ballpark but it just didn’t add up. Why would Zoom not just take Barry out, himself? What is the purpose of blackmailing other metas to do his dirty work? Obviously Barry can thwart his plans, whatever they may be.

JAY GARRICK’s Arrival in CW’s THE FLASH Teased (Got JSA?)

Jay Garrick’s hat shows up in a teaser for the new season of THE FLASH. This has made the rounds on most of the sites, but I just had to repost the image. This fills me with both excitement and trepidation. I hope they do the heroes of Earth-2 justice.  Perhaps even Justice Society…

Gallery: Superheroes Done Right

So there I was, again, searching through random image on Google when I came up with the idea to do a post about the WORST attempts at live action Superhero shows ever. Well, I found several lists along with images and the world has enough negative posts about everything.

I decided to post a few images of, what I feel to be, the best executions of  superhero(ish) characters to make it to the small screen. I won’t list (Green) Arrow, the Flash, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., or the bad-assness of Dare Devil, since they all go without saying that they are some of the best shows to date based on comic book material. So without further ado I bring you, in no particular order, my favorite heroes that can be found on television.

The #Flash Finale On The CW

The Flash finale on the CW network hit ALL of the right buttons. This was the fledgling show’s opening swing and it hit home-run after home-run. Ever since Grant Gustin’s (@grantgust ) introduction as Barry Allen, on the Arrow, I’ve been excited about this show. It works. The inclusion of John Wesley Shipp (), the original Flash from the 1990’s, as Barry’s father is one of many nods to the past. Not only the old show received the hat tip, the comics were heavily referenced. The Flash is a love letter to the character’s fan base and an open door with flashing welcome sign to those who know next to nothing about him.

You don’t have to watch each episode to enjoy them either. Unlike some shows, if you can keep up at any point then you are along for the fun ride. It has a very Babylon 5 vibe to the way the stories are set up and is quite possibly THE best live action show I’ve seen on TV… ever. This is coming from a Trekker/Trekkie and hardcore Marvel fan.

WB needs to see how this show is built and rethink their humorless dick policy for their theatrical releases. Barry doesn’t take everything to seriously. He cracks wise and a smile quite often.

If you want to be entertained at a fast pace, do yourself a favor and watch the first season of The Flash. Head over to read Rob Bricken’s take on io9:

Hey Other Comic Book Shows, The Flash Finale Just Kicked Your Ass!

As Cisco said, May the Speed Force be with you.

What’s New on @CW_Arrow? Here’s a Clue… or Two.

What do we have here?
What do we have here?

So, what do we have here? Well, Stephen Amell is his normal smiling self, and why shouldn’t he be? Then we have a blonde Katie Cassidy. Interesting. Maybe she believe blondes have more fun or, in the case of her sister, they kick more ass. The biggest part that we take away from the behind the scenes from season three is that Paul Blackthorne is back. Not only is he back but his character has been promoted to Captain. The Captains bars told me that this wasn’t a flashback episode, which can feature actors that have been “killed off” since the first episode.

Report: BRUCE WAYNE to Be Regular Cast Member On Fox’s GOTHAM

Report: BRUCE WAYNE to Be Regular Cast Member On Fox’s GOTHAM

So this will be a pre-teen Bruce Wayne from the sounds of it and it will still just be another “Cop show” with the exception that this one will focus on James Gordon in Gotham city. Unless they add some of the legacy heroes from DC’s past (post Crisis on Infinite Earths – retconned history) I can’t imagine how this will be that interesting. Also, setting the series in the past will exclude any possible tie-ins with Arrow or the upcoming Flash.
