Right now, on GOG, you can purchase the classic LucasArts’ game, “TIE Fighter” for $3.99 (US). I can’t remember how many hours of my 20’s I spent in the virtual cockpit of a X-Wing and a TIE. I picked up X-Wing last year, and it plays fine on my Windows 10 Laptop.
It runs on Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10), Mac OS X (10.7.0+) and Linux (Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 16.04).
Minimum system requirements –
Windows: Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10, 1.8 GHz Processor, 1 GB RAM, 3D graphics card compatible with DirectX 7 (compatible with DirectX 9 recommended), Mouse, Keyboard, Controller/Joystick (only the 1998 version)
Mac: OS X 10.7.0 or later. Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz+, Memory: 1GB of RAM, Graphics: 64MB of video memory Recommended two-button mouse, or Apple mouse with Secondary Button / Secondary Click enabled.
Linux: Ubuntu 14.04, Linux Mint 17, Processor: 2.0 GHz, Memory: 1 GB RAM, Graphics: 256 MB VRAM, OpenGL compatible
I feel more excited by this trailer than I am for Episode 8, next Winter. This is going to be a hell of a 3rd season! Kenobi is back, which I’d imagine would be the season finale, and we get to see Thrawn get physical. Remember that you can watch the episodes earlier on DisneyXD if you don’t want to wait for the normal “broadcast” time.
I am not one of those detractors of the series who whines about the kid friendly content. The series airs on DISNEY X/D, a children’s network. There has been some silly moments and outright comedic ones this season. The “Inside Man” has very little light hearted humor. It is a dark episode that should make my friends on the Force Center Podcast and Collider’s Jedi Council pretty happy ( some of the aforementioned whiners😁). I have nothing but love for those folks.
Am I tardy to the party? Nope, but somebody brought this little gem back into my consciousness, today. This short film is some of the best Star Wars traditional animation that I’ve ever seen. It was uploaded to YouTube back in 2015, and has garnered over 6,742,808 views! OtaKing77077 is a master of his craft.
